    Description

    This is a cave temple built by Rajasimha, the younger brother of Kirti Sri Rajasimha in 1771 A.D. at the foot of rock mass about 40 feet high. In the inner part of the Viharaya is large recumbent image f the Buddha. On the rock summit is the old Bo-tree and the Dageba. The Degaldoruva copper plate grant of Rajadhi Rajasimha explains the work carried out at Degaldoruwa.
