    Description

    Hendeniya Viharaya, also known as Galgane Viharaya, is belived to have been built by Henakanda Biso Bandara as a resting place on her way to Lankatilaka and Ambakke. It consists of two image houses, one of which is a cave temple with a Buddha image of stucco belonging to the 14th century, and other a newly built shrine. The stone doorway of the above is carved with a variety of floral designs.
